Dr Humayun Kabir is a Professor in the department of Agricultural economics, Bangladesh Agricultural University since 2002. His career grown up with agricultural Economics, later on he shifted research area on renewable issue conducted in nation and abroad. He obtained BSc in Agricultural Economics in 1996 and MSc in Agricultural Economics in 2000 from Bangladesh Agricultural University. He was also conducted another International MSc in Rural Development from Ghent University, Belgium in 2009 and PhD from JLU, Germany in 2013. His PhD research topic was “Analysis of biogas technology in Bangladesh: toward sustainable renewable energy”. He was awarded several national international awards: Erasmus Mundus scholarship, DAAD, Right livelihood junior scientist award in Bonn, University medal for securing First position in BSc in Agricultural Economics (Hons). He served as head of the department of Agricultural Economics at Bangladesh Agricultural University during 2020-2022. He also worked “how agricultural technologies adopt and disseminate in developing country” in FAO headquarter, Rome Italy as a voluntary scientist in 2014. His decade long experience in energy projects across Bangladesh demonstrates his commitment to environmental and economic progress, reflected in his leadership in publications and training. He has published more than 35 scientific articles in the national and international reputed journal on renewable energy, and published two chapters in the scientific books. His research neck to waste to energy production for enhancing the sustainable indicators of the nations. He has working experience in Germany, Bangladesh, Nepal, India and China.  He also actively delivered the knowledge on critical issues in many professional, educational and social organizations.
