Md Asraf Mahmud Hasif completed his Master of Science in Agricultural Economics, specializing in Agribusiness and Marketing, from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh, in December 2023. Mr. Hasif previously obtained his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from the same institution in February 2022. His Master's thesis, focusing on sustainable entrepreneurship, earned him the National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship award.

Currently, Mr. Hasif serves as a research associate at the "Hub for Smallholders’ Agri-Tech Economics (HSATE) Lab" under the supervision of Professor (Assistant) Dr. A. K. M. Abdullah Al-Amin. His ongoing work involves conducting a scoping study on ecosystem services and economic benefits derived from the Sundarbans mangrove forest. The scoping study also endeavors to identify how digital technology could facilitate the valuation and conservation of mangrove ecosystem services. Mr. Hasif's research interests include sustainable agriculture and food systems, environmental and resource economics, food safety economics, food and agriculture policy, and community development. Mr. Hasif is deeply committed to exploring innovative approaches to foster sustainable food and agriculture systems.
